Casa Florencia 1

Comala is a small colonial town about fifteen minutes north of Colima city, in western Mexico. It is one of the country's designated Pueblos Mágicos, known for its whitewashed streets, its café-lined plaza and its view of the Colima volcano. Real de Comala is a newer, quiet neighborhood on the edge of town where homes have been steadily gaining value, and Casa Florencia 1 is two blocks from the Andador Parotas, the local promenade where neighbors walk in the evening.

The house keeps a modest face to the street and opens up inside: a double-height living room full of daylight, a dining room looking onto the garden, a modern fitted kitchen, and the bedrooms upstairs, the main one with a walk-in closet of its own. Room for a family, in a town that still feels like a town.
